Getbhavcopy version 1.4 released

This version fixes the "The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found." issue caused because NSE changed the way they name the indices historical data files. It also fixes the issue with unable to change date to one later than 30 Jun 2008 or 2 Jul 2008. Version 1.2 and 1.3 were buggy version which had the date issue. It was caused by an issue with Visual studio 2008.

Updated the site template

In order to make the site more managable and to confirm to the latest CSS and XHTML standarads, I have modified the site template. It also has the effect of generating almost the same look and feel at different resolutions.

Getbhavcopy version 1.1 released

Getbhavcopy is a free historical end of day stock quotes downloader for NSE (National Stock Exchange), India. It downloads Open, High, Low, Close and Volume for each equity traded on NSE. The output file is in CSV format so it can be directly imported to a number of technical analysis softwares like Metastock.

In addition to all features of version 1.0, version 1.1 has NSE bhavcopy data parser. It generates output for only EQ series securities, whereby avoiding data corruption caused by the same security symbol appearing in two series in the NSE bhavcopy file. It also has enhanaced error tracking and user alert system when an updated version of Getbhavcopy is available.
